Last updated 30 September 2026. You Just Print is operated by Digital Sunset LLC (“we”, “us”). This explains what we collect, why, and what we do with it. If anything here is unclear, email [email protected] and we'll explain it in plain terms.

Who this covers

Two different groups use You Just Print, and we treat their data differently.

**Merchants** — print businesses with an account on our platform.

**Shoppers** — the merchant's own customers, who use the design builder embedded on the merchant's website. If you're a shopper, the merchant you bought from is the business responsible for your order; we process data on their behalf.

What we collect

  • Merchant account data

Business name, email address, password (stored hashed, never in plain text), and your settings and product configuration.

  • Shopper design data

The artwork and text placed in the builder, the product and options chosen, and — only if the shopper provides it — an email address for order updates.

  • Order records

What was ordered, quantity, price, and the production files generated for printing.

  • Usage and technical data

Log data such as IP address, browser type, and pages or API endpoints accessed, used to operate and secure the service.

  • Payment data

We do not store card numbers. Card payments are handled by Stripe; we keep only the resulting records (amount, status, reference).

How we use it

To run the service: host your builder, generate print-ready files, process orders, take subscription payments, send transactional email (verification, password resets, order updates), provide support, and keep the platform secure. We do not sell your data, and we do not use shopper artwork to train models or for advertising.

Who we share it with

Only the providers needed to run the service: **Stripe** (payments and payouts), **SendGrid** (transactional email), and **DigitalOcean** (hosting and file storage, United States). Each receives only what it needs. We may also disclose data if legally required, or to protect the service and its users.

Where data is stored and how long we keep it

Data is stored on servers in the United States. We keep merchant account data while the account is open. Orders, designs and production files are retained while the merchant's account is active, because merchants need their own order history. Backups are retained for 30 days. When an account is closed, we delete or anonymise its data within 90 days, except where we must keep records for tax or legal reasons.

How we protect it

Traffic is encrypted in transit (HTTPS). Passwords are hashed. Password-reset and email-verification links are stored as hashes, are single-use, and expire. Access to production systems is restricted. No system is perfectly secure, but we take this seriously and fix problems quickly.

Your rights

You can ask for a copy of your data, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it — email [email protected]. Merchants can export their orders as CSV from the dashboard at any time. Shoppers should contact the merchant they ordered from first, since it's their order; we'll help the merchant honour the request. Depending on where you live you may have additional rights under laws such as GDPR or the CCPA, including the right not to be discriminated against for exercising them.

Children

The service is intended for businesses. It is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data.

Changes and contact

If we make a material change we'll update the date above and, for significant changes, tell merchants by email.

Frequently asked questions

Do you sell my data?
No. We don't sell merchant or shopper data, and we don't use artwork uploaded to the builder for advertising or model training.
Do you store credit card numbers?
No. Card details go directly to Stripe. We only keep the payment record — amount, status and a reference.
Who owns the artwork uploaded to the builder?
The person who uploaded it. We store and process it only to produce the print files and fulfil the order.
How do I delete my account and data?
Email [email protected] and we'll close the account and delete or anonymise its data within 90 days, keeping only what tax or legal rules require.
